A routing system operably links a mobile platform to the Internet. The system includes a ground based communications link manager (22, 46) linkable to the mobile platform (14). At least one ground based prefix server (18, 48) can communicate with the communications link manager (22, 46). An initial Internet address is assigned to the mobile platform (14). A prefix server program communicates the initial destination address of the mobile platform (14) to the communications link manager (22, 46) and to the Internet. During a travel segment of the mobile platform (14) a new destination address can be communicated to the Internet using the prefix server (18, 48) to maintain communication between the mobile platform (14) and the Internet (16).
L'invention concerne un système d'acheminement liant de manière fonctionnelle une plate-forme mobile à l'Internet. Le système comprend un gestionnaire de liaisons de communications au sol, lequel peut être lié à la plate-forme mobile. Au moins un serveur de préfixe au sol peut communiquer avec le gestionnaire de liaisons de communications. Une adresse Internet initiale est attribuée à la plate-forme mobile. Un programme du serveur de préfixe communique l'adresse initiale de destination de la plate-forme mobile au gestionnaire de liaisons de communications et à l'Internet.
