The invention at hand concerns containers for liquids (Fig. 1 ) such as drinking-glasses, drinking-cups or bottles which hold an integrated light source (Fig. 1/Nr.3),e.g. a LED, featuring capacitors (Fig.1/Nr.1) for the supply of electric potential for the light source. A wedge-shaped indentation in the container (Fig. 1/Nr.2) creates optimal dispersion of light. The use of capacitors as source of electric potential entails the following advantages over previous inventions. There is no use of batteries or accumulators which have to be exchanged after a certain time of usage or storage (low environmental impact). Also, hours and hours of charging of an accumulator can be avoided.
