Glucopyranosyloxybenzylbenzene derivatives of the general formula (I) and salts thereof, which exhibit excellent human SGLT2 inhibiting activity and are useful as preventive or therapeutic drugs for diabetes, obesity and so on; and intermediates for the preparation of the derivatives wherein R1 is hydrogen or hydroxylated lower alkyl; R2 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, hydroxylated lower alkyl, hydroxylated lower alkoxy, hydroxylated lower alkylthio, or the like.
L'invention concerne des dérivés glucopyranosyloxybenzylbenzène de formule générale (I) et des sels de ceux-ci, qui présentent une excellente activité inhibitrice de SGLT2 humain et qui sont utiles en tant que médicaments préventifs ou thérapeutiques contre, entre autres, le diabète et l'obésité. L'invention porte également sur des intermédiaires utilisés pour la préparation desdits dérivés. Dans la formule (I), R?1¿ représente hydrogène ou alkyle inférieur hydroxylé ; R?2¿ représente alkyle inférieur, alcoxy inférieur, alkylthio inférieur, alkyle inférieur hydroxylé, alcoxy inférieur hydroxylé, alkylthio inférieur hydroxylé ou similaire.
