- 1 - Abstract The invention relates to a glue stick with a piston supporting the stick substance and a shell surrounding the stick substance, in which the drive means for up and down movement of the stick substance is formed in the nature of a piston connecting rod coupled to the piston, which at the other end is coupled to an actuating element which can be actuated from outside the shell. The drive element can be formed as a rod (2, 18A, 30, 40, 52) or as a flexible band (2C). The actuating element can be formed as a double ring (3), as a toggle joint (17), as a togue shaped double wheel (32), as a wheel (41), or as a solid wheel (53) which is at least semi circular. According to a preferred embodiment, the drive element together with the coupled piston and the actuating element is formed as a one-piece injection moulding, which for assembly of the glue stick is pushed into the shell from the open side, whereupon the glue stick substance is poured from above into the hollow space of the shell and becomes anchored on or in the piston when it sets.
