The present invention relates to a method for predicting, diagnosing and prognosticating a neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and neurodegeneration in Down's syndrome (NDS) using glutaminyl cyclase (QC) as a diagnostic/prognostic indicator. The use of antibodies binding to QC and kits for performing said diagnostic method are also provided.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé permettant de prédire, diagnostiquer et pronostiquer une maladie neurodégénérative telle que la maladie dAlzheimer, la déficience cognitive légère (MCI) et la neurodégénérescence dans le syndrome de Down (NDS), en utilisant la glutaminyl cyclase (QC) en tant quindicateur de diagnostic/pronostic. Linvention concerne également lutilisation danticorps se liant à QC, ainsi que des kits permettant dexécuter ledit procédé de diagnostic.
