The invention relates to the use of glycin decarboxylase complex, which is used as a target for herbicides in the absence of growth retardations and chlorotic leaves. Novel nucleic acid sequences comprising SEQ ID NO:1 and functional equivalents of SEQ ID NO:1 are thus disclosed. The invention also relates to the use of glycin decarboxylase complex and the functional equivalents thereof in a method for identifying compounds having a herbicidal or growth-regulatory effect, in addition to the use of said compounds identified via said method as herbicides or growth regulators.
La présente invention concerne l'utilisation du complexe de la glycine décarboxylase comme cible pour herbicides, l'absence dudit complexe entraînant des retards de croissance et des feuilles chlorotiques. Dans ce contexte, de nouvelles séquences nucléotidiques comprenant la SEQ ID NO:1 ainsi que des équivalents fonctionnels de la SEQ ID NO:1 sont fournis. Ladite invention concerne également l'utilisation de ce complexe de la glycine décarboxylase et de ses équivalents fonctionnels dans un procédé d'identification de composés herbicides ou régulateurs de croissance ainsi que l'utilisation de ces composés, identifiés par ledit procédé, comme herbicides ou régulateurs de croissance.
