The present invention relates to the discovery of a novel class of compounds that inhibit the replication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and approaches to identify these compounds. More specifically, it has been found that enzymatically prepared alpha-hydroxyglycinamide and synthetically prepared alpha-hydroxyglycinamide inhibit the replication of HIV in human serum. Embodiments include methods to identify modified glycinamide compounds that inhibit HIV, methods to isolate and synthesize modified glycinamide compounds, and therapeutic compositions comprising these compounds.
La présente invention se rapporte à la découverte d'une nouvelle classe de composés qui inhibent la réplication du virus de l'immunodéficience humaine (VIH), et à des procédés d'identification desdits composés. Plus particulièrement, il a été démontré que le hydroxyglycinamide alpha préparé par voie enzymatique et le hydroxyglycinamide alpha préparé par voie synthétique inhibent la réplication du VIH dans le sérum humain. Les modes de réalisation de la présente invention comprennent des procédés permettant d'identifier des composés de glycinamide qui inhibent le VIH, des procédés permettant d'isoler et de synthétiser des composés de glycinamide modifiés, et des compositions thérapeutiques contenant lesdits composés.
