The invention described herein is a tool developed for the analysis of proteomic mass spectrometry (MS) data to identify and characterize glycoproteins. The tool is designed to perform four main tasks, separately, or as needed: optimize the selection of glycopeptides for MS/MS, identify glycopeptide spectra from MS/MS data, characterize the sugar moieties of identified glycopeptide spectra, and match the glycosylated precursor to its parent protein. The design and implementation for each of these components is described in more depth in this patent application.
Cette invention se rapporte à un outil mis au point pour l'analyse de données de spectrométrie de masse protéomique (MS) pour identifier et caractériser des glycoprotéines. Cet outil a été mis au point pour effectuer quatre tâches principales, séparément ou selon les besoins: optimiser la sélection de glycopeptides pour MS/MS, identifier les spectres des glycopeptides à partir des données MS/MS, caractériser les fractions sucre des spectres de glycopeptides ainsi identifiés, et faire correspondre le précurseur glycosylé à sa protéine parente.
