The subject invention provides a method for producing non-glycosylated Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein using a gram- negative bacterial cell, which comprises transfecting the cell with a vector encoding Bactericidal/Permeability Protein; culturing the cell so transfected under conditions permitting the production of non-glycosylated Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein in the cell; and recovering from the cell the non-glycosylated Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein so produced. Finally, the subject invention provides the non-glycosylated Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein produced by the method of the subject invention.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de production d'une protéine non glycosylée bactéricide et augmentant la perméabilité, au moyen d'une cellule bactérienne à Gram négatif, ce procédé consistant à transférer la cellule avec un vecteur codant la protéine bactéricide/augmentant la perméabilité; à mettre la cellule ainsi transfectée en culture dans des conditions permettant de produire ladite protéine non glycosylée dans la cellule; et à récupérer de la cellule la protéine ainsi produite. Enfin, l'invention se rapporte à la protéine non glycosylée bactéricide/augmentant la perméabilité produite selon le procédé de cette invention.
