A superelastic alloy exhibiting shape memory or pseudoelastic properties contains about (46.3) weight percent Au and about (54.7) weight percent In. Such alloys containing the superelastic Au-In2 intermelallic compound which exhibits elasticity can be formed into a gasket or seal that can be deformed at low stress levels while additionally having corrosion resistant properties.
L'invention concerne un alliage superélastique à mémoire de forme ou présentant des propriétés pseudoélastiques, ledit alliage contenant environ 46,3 % en poids de Au et environ 54,7 % en poids de In. De tels alliages contenant le composé intermétallique Au-In2 superélastique peuvent entrer dans la composition de joints pouvant être déformés à des contraintes faibles et présentant des propriétés de résistance à la corrosion.
