Golf club retaining tubes (6) or flaps (76) are arranged serially around the periphery of the sidewall of the bag. A lever (26, 100) operates to open the front of the bag and present the club heads in an organised serial manner, which assists finding the selected club. The handle also extends a pair of legs (40, 42) which form a stand for the bag.
