11 ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The invention is a golf club head for use as a putter, and includes a blade member with a generally planar upper surface, opposed first and second ends and at least one and preferably two striking surfaces for contact- ing a golf ball with a predetermined diameter. A nosel means is operably associated with the blade member for receiving therein a golf club shaft with a gripping means at one end thereof. Means are provided to elevate and support the blade member such that the striking surface is elevated to a height equal to approximately one-half of the diameter of the golf ball. Means are also provided to modify the weight of the golf club head by a predetermined amount.
