A set of wood golf clubs (20) have wood club heads (22) with substantially the same external shape. The vertical centers of gravity of the wood club heads (22) are varied by setting the weight within the respective soles and the crowns, while keeping the total weight of the wood club heads (22) substantially constant. The wood club heads (22) have no integral hosel. The wood club shafts (24) are attached to the wood club heads (22) by providing a bore (60) in the wood club head (22) sized to receive the wood club shaft (24) therein, and a threaded fastener that engages the wood club shaft (24) to the wood club head (22), when the wood club shaft (24) is inserted into the bore (60). The wood club heads (22) are desirably cast to shape, using casting cores that provide for the shifting of weight between the soles and the crowns within the set.
L'invention concerne un ensemble de clubs de golf en bois (20) présentant des têtes (22) de clubs en bois et une forme extérieure similaire. Le centre vertical de gravité desdites têtes (22) de clubs en bois varie en fonction du poids à l'intérieur des semelles et des cambrures, le poids total desdites têtes (22) de clubs en bois étant sensiblement constant. Lesdites têtes (22) de clubs en bois ne présente pas un col intégral. Les manches (24) du club en bois sont fixés auxdites têtes (22) de clubs en bois au moyen d'un orifice (60) ménagé dans ladite tête (22) de clubs en bois destiné à recevoir ledit manche (24) de club en bois. Un moyen de fixation fileté enclenche ledit manche (24) de clubs en bois dans ladite tête (22) de clubs en bois, lorsque ledit manche (24) de club en bois est inséré à l'intérieur dudit orifice (60). Lesdites têtes (22) de clubs en bois sont moulées au moyen d'un noyau de moulage qui permet d'obtenir le décalage de poids entre les semelles et les cambrures à l'intérieur de l'ensemble.
