A golf putter includes a shaft having a gripping end and a remote end. A head is provided having a striking face with a resilient longitudinal ball striking strip. A coupling is provided for securing the head to the remote end of the shaft. In the preferred version, the head is cylindrical and the coupling allows the angular relationship between the shaft and the head to be altered.
