ABSTRACT An improved golf putter having a T-shaped putter head is provided with an elongated sighting surface for assisting a player in aligning a putt. The sighting surface has a relatively light color and a relatively dark line or groove down the center. A portion of the bottom of the putter head is concaved to provide a cushioning effect as the putter head glides over the ground and air is trapped in the concaved region. The stem of the golf putter is mounted to the side of the putter head substantially rearward of the striking face.
