A golf putter with a shaft that can accept interchangeable putter heads, each having different lofts, is disclosed. The golf club comprises: an elongate shaft extending about a longitudinal axis to a first end of the shaft, the first end carrying at least one outwardly extending spline thereon, a club head having a blade and a hosel, the club head removably connected to the shaft by the first end of the shaft coupling with the hosel, the hosel having a socket with an opening and exterior threads about the socket, the first end being slidable into and out of the socket via the opening, at least one keyway slot in the socket to receive the at least one spline and prevent rotation of the first end relative to the hosel, when the first end is received in the hosel, about the axis, a locking sleeve coaxially disposed about the shaft proximate the first end, longitudinally slidable thereon, and rotatable about the axis, the locking sleeve having interior threads to engage the exterior threads on the hosel and secure the first end of the shaft in the socket against removal.
