A golf swing training apparatus (10). The apparatus (10) includes a mounting bar (20) with an extendable length arm stabilizer (30) extending outwardly from the mounting bar (20) and terminating in a headrest (32). A swing cam (50) is rotatable around the arm stabilizer (30) about an axis coaxial with the arm stabilizer. A guideline (70) extends from the swing cam (50) and terminates in a golf club connector (72) so that the swing cam rotates with movement of the golf club (16). Additionally, a pair of adjustable length guide rods (80, 82) extends from the mounting bar (20).
