ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a compound of the formula: Image wherein R1 is C?N or COR3; and R2 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, or acyl wherein R3 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, hydroxy, amino or alkoxy R4 is hydrogen, alkyl or acyl; and n is the integer 1 or 2. The compound is useful in the treatment of malaria and viral disease.
