An encapsulation (10) for an interrupter includes a main body that includes an internal cavity (14), the internal cavity (14) including a space at a first end thereof for the interrupter (12), a second end of the main body including a surface for mounting the encapsulation (10), an insert assembly (28) mounted in the second end for facilitating mounting the encapsulation (10), the insert assembly including a rigid connector (30, 32) and a plurality of fasteners (26) fixed to the rigid connector (30, 32).
