The present invention relates to a graft animal model for propagating papilloma virus and for evaluating and testing candidate therapeutic agents against papillomavirus. The animal model comprises a recipient animal engrafted with injured skin graft infected with a host-specific papillomavirus (PV). The grafted skin, having demonstrable papillomas supports the propagation of its host-specific PV. The invention particularly relates to a xenograft animal model for hosting and propagating human papillomavirus (HPV), thereby providing a means for generating infectious and passaging HPV suspensions, and for screening candidate therapeutic agents against HPV. The invention additionally relates to a novel method for generating the xenograft human animal model.
Cette invention se rapporte à un modèle d'animal pour greffe servant à propager le papillomavirus et à évaluer et tester des agents thérapeutiques candidats contre le papillomavirus. Ce modèle d'animal utilise un animal receveur ayant reçu une greffe de peau lésée infectée par un papillomavirus (PV) spécifique à l'hôte. La peau greffée, comportant des papillomes se manifestant, entretient la propagation de son PV spécifique à l'hôte. Cette invention se rapporte particulièrement à un modèle d'animal pour xénogreffe servant à héberger et à propager la papillomavirus humain (PVH), offrant ainsi un moyen de produire des suspensions d'HPV infectieuses et passagères et de sélectionner des agents thérapeutiques candidats contre le PVH. Cette invention se rapporte en outre à un nouveau procédé de production d'un tel modèle d'animal humain pour xénogreffe.
