ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Novel graft copolymers having thermoplastic elastomer properties and improved oil acceptability are disclosed. The graft copolymers have a polymer backbone comprising poly(styrene-b-butadiene) and graft branches of poly(.alpha.-methylstyrene). They exhibit oil acceptability comparable to commercial linear triblock thermoplastic elastomers such as poly(styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) and exhibit superior tensile properties to the latter at ele- vated temperatures. They are also more readily processable than known thermoplastic elastomers containing .alpha.-methyl- styrene.
