The instant invention relates to a process for the preparation of grafted polymers wherein in a first step A) a oligomer or polymer is prepared by controlled radical polymerization in the presence of a stable free nitroxyl radical or a nitroxylether to obtain a nitroxyl terminated oligomer or polymer and in a second step B) the nitroxyl terminated oligomer or polymer is mixed and reacted with a thermoplastic or elastomeric polymer or copolymer in its molten state at a temperature at which cleavage of the nitroxyl- polymer/oligomer bond occurs, whereby the nitroxyl terminated oligomer or polymer is grafted onto the thermoplastic or elastomeric polymer. A further subject of the present invention is a grafted polymer prepared by said process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de polymères greffés, caractérisé en ce que, dans une première étape A) un oligomère ou un polymère est préparé par polymérisation radicalaire contrôlée, en présence d'un radical nitroxyle libre stable ou d'un nitroxyléther, en vue d'obtenir un oligomère ou un polymère à terminaison nitroxyle et, dans une seconde étape B), l'oligomère ou le polymère à terminaison nitroxyle est mélangé et mis à réagir avec un polymère ou un copolymère thermoplastique ou élastomère à l'état fondu, à une température à laquelle s'effectue un clivage de la liaison polymère nitroxyle / oligomère, grâce à quoi l'oligomère ou le polymère à terminaison nitroxyle est greffé sur le polymère thermoplastique ou élastomère. L'invention concerne en outre un polymère greffé préparé conformément au procédé précité.
