- 10 - GRAIN BIN FLOOR SYSTEM AND ATTACHING MEANS ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Wood floor construction for grain bins is popular because of the relatively low costs involved but unfortunately water tends to seep along the junction between adjacent sheets of plywood after caulking has started to dry out. The present device utilizes an outturned flange on the lower side edge of the corrugated bin walls engaging upon a horizontal flange of a curved right angular cross-sectioned flashing which has the vertical edge thereof lapping down over the vertical side edges of the floor. The flashing is formed in three foot to four foot lenghts with the adjacent ends of the segments overlapping with sealant therebetween and also between the horizontal flange of the flashing and the outturned flange of the walls. Lag screws are used to clamp the bin to the floor.
