- 10 - "GRAIN PICK-UP TEETH ASSEMBLIES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Conventional pick-up teeth are inefficient in picking up and retaining relatively short grain stems in the swath particularly if the grain stems are relatively slippery such as is the case with barley. The present device consists of a pair of main prongs or teeth extend- ing from a common base in spaced and parallel relation- ship and having additional or secondary teeth or prongs extending from along the length of said main teeth in spaced and parallel relationship. This allows the grain to be retained more efficiently and permits slower speeds of operation thus reducing the possibility of disengage- ment of the stems or stalks from the teeth.
