A grain size and/or pulverulent-matter drying apparatus for the treatment of suspended mineral particles, at least 90% in weight of which have a size less than 60 mm, the apparatus (30) being primarily constituted of a substantially vertical gas pipe (1) with an ascending flow (Fa) provided with a gas inlet at its base and provided with a lower opening (2) and an upper opening (3) between which a supply opening (4) is also provided for insertion of matter, wherein a portion of the matter, or so-called ~fines~, can escape with the gas through the upper opening (3) due to the bearing capacity of the ascending flow (Fa), while another coarser portion of the matter is not carried away by said gas and falls into the lower opening (2). According to the invention, the apparatus (30) also has means (5) for creating turbulences, which favor the separation of the different grain sizes and the suspension of matter, and provided at the internal wall of said gas pipe (1), and located between the lower opening (2) and the supply opening (4) of the said pipe (1).
L'invention concerne un appareil granulométrique et/ou de séchage de matières pulvérulentes, destiné au traitement en suspension de matières minérales en grains dont au moins 90 % en poids ont une taille inférieure à 60 mm, appareil (30) constitué principalement d'une conduite de gaz (1), sensiblement verticale, à flux ascendant (Fa), munie d'une arrivée de gaz à sa base, équipée d'une ouverture inférieure (2), et d'une ouverture supérieure (3) entre lesquelles une ouverture d'alimentation (4) est également prévue pour l'introduction des matières, dans lequel appareil une partie de la matière notamment dite "fines" peut s'échapper avec le gaz par l'ouverture supérieure (3) grâce à la portance dudit flux ascendant (Fa), tandis qu'une autre partie des matières, plus grossières, n'est pas entraînée par ledit gaz et chute par l'ouverture inférieure (2). Selon l'invention, l'appareil (30) possède, en outre, des moyens (5) pour créer des turbulences, favorables à la séparation des différentes fractions granulométriques et à la mise en suspension des matières, prévus au niveau de la paroi interne de ladite conduite de gaz (1), et situés entre l'ouverture inférieure (2) et l'ouverture d'alimentation (4) de ladite conduite (1).
