A method and an apparatus are disclosed for treating agricultural crops, for example, cereals, oil seeds and forage crops. The treatment takes the form of the application of ozone to the crop to be treated. This may be done in conjunction with aeration or drying of the crop using conventional aeration and drying equipment in which ozone is added to the aerating or drying air.
