ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A granular wear resistant hardfacing material comprising a solid solution of W-Mo-C in the form of an eutectic type alloy. The eutectic type alloy is comprised of crystals of WC/W2C/MoC/Mo2C. The granular hardfacing material may be applied by blending with other materials in hardfacing tuberod compositions and/or for direct application in hardfacing technique such as electric arc/inert gas bulkwelding.
