ABSTRACT Stable bleach activator composition in the form of spray-dried granules comprising from 50-98% by weight of a water-soluble peroxyacid bleach precursor, from 2-50% by weight of a film-forming polymeric material, and from 0-48% by weight of an inert organic or inorganic salt. The spray-dried bleach activator granules show the combined characteristics of excellent storage stability, improved mechanical strength and attrition resistance, as well as good dispersibility and dissolution rate. Bleach and laundry compositions containing the bleach activator granules are also disclosed.
