The present invention describes a process for the preparation of an enzyme- containing granulate wherein an aqueous enzyme-containing liquid is, optionally supplemented with a solid carrier and/or additive ingredients, processed into granules, dried and subsequently coated with a dispersion containing particles of a hydrophobic substance. The hydrophobic substance may be a hydrophobic fat- or wax-like substance or a hydrophobic polymeric compound. Preferably, the hydrophobic polymeric compound is a polyolefin, more preferably polyethylene and/or polypropylene. The thus coated enzyme granulate is suitable for the manufacture of animal feed compositions by mixing the granulate with feed ingredients, treating with steam and pelleting. The coated granulates show high enzyme stability during pelleting conditions and during storage. At the same time, the dissolution time of the granule is very short so that the bioavailability of the enzyme to the animal is improved.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un granulé contenant des enzymes alimentaires qui se caractérise en ce qu'un liquide aqueux contenant des enzymes est éventuellement complété avec un support solide et/ou des additifs, transformé en granulés, séché et, par la suite, enrobé d'une dispersion contenant des particules d'une substance hydrophobe. Il peut s'agir d'une substance grasse, de type cire ou d'un composé polymère hydrophobe. De préférence, le composé polymère hydrophobe est un polyoléfine, mieux encore, un polyéthylène et/ou un polypropylène. Le granulé enzymé ainsi enrobé convient pour la fabrication de compositions alimentaires animales par mélange des granulés avec des ingrédients alimentaires, traitement à la vapeur et pelletisation. Les granulés enrobés présentent une stabilité élevée des enzymes lors de la pelletisation et pendant le stockage. Parallèlement, le temps de dissolution du granulé est très bref, ce qui améliore la biodisponibilité des enzymes pour l'animal.
