Process for the preparation of detergent granules which process comprises as a first step agglomeration of a powdered detergent component by agitating the component and optional additives and contacting the agitated powder with a binder solution and as a second step drying the resultant agglomerate to form granules wherein the first step is carried out a temperature below 40°C and the second step is carried out at a temperature between 30°C and 60°C and at a relative humidity of less than 50%.
