The present invention is a graphical user interface that includes a single window in which active elements are painted. Each active element is not independent of the single window and includes a configuration panel and at least one tool operable with each active element to allow a user to alter the characteristics of the active element. Also included is a semi-automatic view generator operable on each active element provided the active element is a single record view of an object or a multi-record view of a group of like objects.

L'invention concerne une interface utilisateur graphique comprenant une fenêtre unique dans laquelle des éléments actifs sont peints. Chaque élément actif est dépendant de la fenêtre unique et comprend un panneau de configuration et au moins un outil fonctionnant avec chaque élément actif de manière à permettre à un utilisateur de modifier les caractéristiques dudit élément actif. Le dispositif comprend également un générateur de vue semi-automatique pouvant fonctionner sur chaque élément actif dans la mesure où ledit élément actif représente une vue à enregistrement unique d'un objet ou une vue à enregistrement multiple d'un groupe d'objets similaires.
