A gripping tool especially designed for heavier loads and hot materials, more particularly to the handling of fire logs during social fire burning such as at campfires. The invention comprises: a hollow body having a gripping member at the center, and a paid of claws at one end, and a torsion member having a D-handle at one end and a single claw at the other end. The torsion member traverses the hollow body thus allowing rotational motion of the torsion member inside said hollow body. A user holding the hollow body firmly with one hand can rotate the D-handle with the other hand hence rotating the attached single claw towards or away from the double claws.
