ABSTRACT One or more sieves (31,32) are fastened to a downstream end of a riddle (26) of a harvester (10) (or the riddle sieve (26) is extended rearwardly), and extend over a trough (12), the walls of which deflect air flow (37) above the sieves so that heavier and smaller weed seeds fall through the sieves and into the trough (12), while lighter particles such as chaff remain airborne to be discharged in a conventional way. The seeds in the trough (12) are removed by an auger (14).
