Apparatus (20) for gravel packing a wellbore interval (11) having shunt means (25, 225, 325, 425, 525A, 525B) (i.e. conduits) (26a-c, 226a-c, 326, 426, 526) on the external sur- face of a sand screen which can selectively deliver a gravel slurry to different levels of the interval during operation. The shunt means (25, 225, 325, 425, 525a, 525b) is comprised of a variety of differently configured, perforated conduits (26a-c, 226a-c, 326, 426, 526) and/ or arrangements of these conduits.
