A gravity based system for dispensing a fluid from a bottle (14). A valve is mounted on the bottle cap (60) for controlling flow of the fluid. A dispenser assembly (12) is included for supporting the bottle while dispensing the fluid. The dispenser includes a body (60) having a dilution chamber (162), a receiving opening (164) and a dispensing opening (166). Supporting means are provided for engaging and supporting the bottle on the body with the orifice of the bottle directed downwardly. Means are provided for shifting the valve on the bottle from the closed position to the open position to enable dispensing of the fluid, the shifting means being actuated when the bottle is engaged with the supporting means. Means (210) are provided adapted for connection to a source of a diluting fluid and for conveying the diluting fluid to the diluting chamber. A diluting valve is provided for controlling the flow of the diluting fluid into the dilution chamber. Switch means are provided for shifting the diluting valve to the open position responsive to the bottle being received by and engaged with the supporting means of the dispenser body.
