The invention relates to a gravity separator having the following features: a channel-like portion having a transport unit, along which a material to be classified can be transported from a feeding end to a classification chamber, a closure unit which is arranged on and/or in the channel-like portion, the closure unit can be moved perpendicularly relative to the transport direction of the material to be classified and is arranged in such a manner that it rests on the material which is transported through with at least a portion.

L'invention concerne un séparateur par gravité doté des caractéristiques suivantes : une partie semblable à un canal muni d'une unité de transport, le long de laquelle un matériau à classifier peut être transporté d'une extrémité d'alimentation à une chambre de classification, une unité de fermeture qui est placée sur et/ou dans la partie semblable à un canal, l'unité de fermeture peut être déplacée perpendiculairement par rapport à la direction de transport du matériau à classifier et est placée de manière à ce qu'elle repose sur le matériau qui est transporté avec au moins une partie.
