Grease composition for constant velocity joints comprising a base oil and urea- based thickener, which grease further comprises, (A) from 0.1 to 10 % by weight of an optionally substituted molybdenum- organocyclic compound containing at least 5 ring atoms, wherein each ring atom attached directly to the molybdenum atom is a hetero atom, (B) from 0.1 to 5 % by weight of at least one sulphur-containing additive chosen from the group consisting of sulphur olefins, sulphur- phosphorus extreme-pressure agents, ashless dithiocarbamates, polysulphides, thiadiazoles and zinc dithiocarbamate, and (C) from 0.1 to 5 % by weight of at least one phosphorus-containing additive chosen from the group consisting of molybdenum dithiophosphate, zinc dithiophosphate and triphenylphosphorothionate; a method of lubricating a constant velocity joint comprising packing it with said grease according and a constant velocity joint packed with said grease.
Une composition de graisse pour joints homocinétiques comprend une huile de base et un épaississant à base d'urée, cette graisse contenant en outre (A) de 0,1 à 10 % en poids d'un composé molybdène-organocyclique facultativement substitué contenant au moins 5 atomes de noyau, chaque atome de noyau directement attaché à l'atome molybdène étant un hétéroatome, (B) de 0,1 à 5 % en poids d'au moins un additif contenant du soufre sélectionné dans le groupe formé par les oléfines de soufre, les agents extrême-pression soufre-phosphore, les dithiocarbamates sans cendre, les polysulfures, les thiadiazoles et le dithiocarbamate de zinc, et (C) de 0,1 à 5 % en poids d'au moins un additif contenant du phosphore sélectionné dans le groupe formé par le dithiophosphate de molybdène, le dithiophosphate de zinc et le triphénylphosphorothionate. On décrit un procédé permettant de lubrifier un joint homocinétique qui consiste à garnir ce dernier de graisse de manière appropriée et un joint homocinétique lubrifié avec ladite graisse.
