Greener chewing gum base or bubble gum base (i.e. better biologically degradable and healthier) is obtained by replacing the paraffin component of a conventional chewing gum base by a triglyceride composition with an N35 ~ 40, a (C16 + C18) saturated fatty acid content of 40-100 wt%, a C18:1-content of 0-60 wt% a (C12 + C14 + C16) saturated fatty acid content of at least 30 wt% and a (C12 + C14) saturated fatty acid content of 0-40 wt%.

On obtient de la pâte de base pour gomme à mâcher ou à bulles (c.-à-d. plus facilement biodégradable et plus saine) en remplaçant les composés paraffiniques de la pâte de base d'une gomme à mâcher ordinaire par une composition de triglycérides de type N35 ~ 40 ayant une teneur en acides gras saturés (C16 + C18) de 40-100 % en poids, une teneur en C18:1 de 0-60 % en poids, une teneur en acides gras saturés (C12 + C14 + C16) d'au moins 30 % en poids et une teneur en acides gras saturés (C12 + C14) de 0-40 % en poids.
