A greywater recycling system for household or other use accepts greywater from shower, bath, washbasins, dishwashers and clotheswashers, purifies the water by filtering out most particulates, irradiates soap scum etc to disinfect it; passes the water through a chlorination tank and onto toilets, to serve as flush water. The system is equipped with monitors to signal when the particulate filter need servicing, to switch on u/v back-up lamps when needed, and to indicate if make-up townwater is being introduced to maintain minimum level in the greywater tank. The chlorination tank may have a sight glass, for monitoring the state of the chlorine bricks in use. A central control panel with tell-tales monitors the system.
