A wide-meshed grid fabric is described, in particular a geogrid, in which warp thread bundles (3) composed of multiple warp threads (2) and weft thread bundles (5) composed of multiple weft threads (4) intersect and surround meshes or lattice openings (6). To give the grid fabric, which may also be a scrim, a greater volume, whereby, among other things, improved reinforcement of the soil may be achieved, individual threads (2 or 4) of a thread bundle (3 or 5) in a mesh (6) are longer than other threads of the same thread bundle (3 or 5), the longer threads (4') running in a wave pattern and forming at least one open loop or bulge (7) per mesh (6); the open loop or bulge may protrude upward and/or downward from the plane of the grid fabric (1). A plastic coating may stiffen the grid fabric (1).
L'invention concerne une grille tissée (1) à grandes mailles, en particulier une géogrille, comprenant des faisceaux de fils de chaîne (3) constitués de plusieurs fils de chaîne (2) ainsi que des faisceaux de fils de trame (5) constitués de plusieurs fils de trame (4) qui se croisent mutuellement et forment des mailles ou ouvertures de grille (6). L'objectif de cette invention est de conférer un plus grand volume à ladite grille tissée, qui peut également se présenter sous la forme d'une armature de fils, pour, entre autres, garantir une meilleure consolidation du sol. A cet effet, des fils individuels (2 ou 4) d'un faisceau de fils (3 ou 5) constitutif d'une maille (6) sont plus longs que d'autres fils du même faisceau de fils (3 ou 5). Ces fils plus longs (4') s'étendent de manière ondulée et forment dans chaque maille (6) au moins une bosse (7) ou boucle ouverte pouvant faire saillie vers le haut et/ou vers le bas par rapport au plan de la grille tissée (1). Cette grille tissée (1) peut être rigidifiée au moyen d'un revêtement plastique.
