A cooking appliance (10) for grilling food products has a griddle plate (11) and a heating assembly (20) that contains a non-contact infrared heating element (30) to achieve uniform plate temperatures, fast initial warming times and fast recovery times. The heating element is situated in a cavity (29) formed by thermal insulating material (27) in the assembly. When the assembly (20) is secured to the griddle plate (11), there is a space (29) between the heater element (30) and the griddle plate (11) to allow infrared radiation heat transfer to heat the griddle plate. The insulating material has a relatively high insulating factor so as to minimize heat loss and reduce energy usage.
Cette invention se rapporte à un ustensile de cuisson (10) pour griller des produits alimentaires, qui comprend une plaque de grill (11) et un ensemble chauffant (20) contenant un élément chauffant infrarouge sans contact (30) permettant d'atteindre des températures de plaque uniformes, des temps de chauffage initial rapides et des temps de récupération rapides.
