GRINDING APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a grinding apparatus. A grinding tank is disposed about a central axis and contains grinding material. The tank is mounted on a support and has an open top. A shaft is mounted along the central axis and rotationally driven by a motor and belt assembly. A shaft plate is mounted on the shaft and supports other shafts which hold workpieces to be ground. A hydraulic device lifts the tank upwardly to engage the workpieces. A second motor pulley arrangement is provided which rotates the workpiece shafts. By the action of the rotating shaft plate and the rotating workpiece shafts, the surfaces of the workpieces, which can have irregular shapes, are pressed into contact with the grinding medium and are thereby uniformly and efficiently ground.
