A B S T R A C T OF T H E D I S C L O S U R E A GRINDING METHOD There is provided a method of disintegrating pre-crushed lump material, in which, for obtaining a high and uniform throughput, the lump material is divided into a coarse and a finer fraction, and in which the coarse fraction is charged directly to a primary drum mill whilst the finer fraction is charged to a crusher and is crushed therein to a largest particle size which is at most one third of the smallest particle size of the coarse fraction, and is thereafter directly charged to the primary drum mill and ground therein whilst using the said coarse fraction as grinding bodies.
