A grip extension linkage to provide a gripping tool having radial gripping elements with an improved operational range. The grip extension linkage includes at least one annular body having a central internal bore and an peripheral external surface. There is provided rigid elongated spokes. Spoke guides are provided on the annular body. The spoke guides are in close fitting relation with the spokes to constrain the spokes while allowing them to move radially from a retracted position to an engaged position.

L'invention porte sur une liaison à extension de saisie destinée à constituer un outil de saisie comportant des éléments de saisie radiaux ayant une plage de fonctionnement améliorée. La liaison d'extension de saisie comprend au moins un corps annulaire comportant un passage intérieur central et une surface périphérique extérieure. Il est prévu des rayons allongés rigides. Des guides de rayon sont placés sur le corps annulaire. Les guides de rayon sont en relation d'adaptation étroite avec les rayons, de façon à maintenir les rayons tout en leur permettant de se déplacer radialement d'une position rétractée à une position engagée.
