Disclosed is a grip for an umbrella cane or a walking stick, comprising a shank (10) and a hollow, semi-spherical open end section (2) which can, for instance, bear a decorative or commonplace object. In order to provide a novel and multipurpose embodiment of such a handle, the inventive device is provided with a pull-out spherical decorative or commonplace object, which is accommodated in the end section (2) and a ring (8) which can be placed on an upper peripheral edge (10) of the end section (2) and whose inner circumference is smaller that the outer circumference of the decorative or commonplace object.
