Abstract Stressing tendons used in prestressing concrete are gen- erally anchored to the concrete by wedge plates which are embedded in the concrete. The anchorage is accomplished by the use of gripping wedges which are placed around the stres- sing tendons and into the wedge plates. A gripping tool is provided which inserts and seats, in a single operation, gripping wedges. The tool is generally comprised of a holding and guiding piece and a sliding mech- anism.
