A grommet assembly for a wall panel and method of installation. The grommet assembly (28) includes a grommet structure (29) for insertion into the aperture (15) made through a wall panel (11) and includes pivotal locking arms (37) for locking at the back face of the wall panel. An insert sleeve (30) provides a circular wall (32) that upon insertion into the grommet pivots the pivotal lock arms (37) of the grommet. The insert sleeve (30) is further provided with snap-engagement members (48) that snap-engage to the circular wall of the grommet so that the grommet assembly is fastened together and to the wall panel. A retention ring (26) may be used prior to cutting an aperture in the wall to secure fabric, or other wall coverings, around the aperture to be cut to prevent displacement or tearing, and to protect the outer wall surface. The method includes the field installation of the grommet assembly from one side of a wall panel.
Ensemble oeillet pour une paroi de séparation et procédé d'installation. Ledit ensemble oeillet (28) comprend une structure en oeillet (29) destinée à être introduite dans l'ouverture (15) faite à travers une paroi de séparation (11) ainsi que des bras de blocage pivotants (37) destinés au blocage sur la face arrière de la paroi de séparation. Un manchon insérable (30) est doté d'une paroi circulaire (32) qui, une fois introduite dans l'oeillet, fait pivoter les bras de blocage pivotants (37) dudit oeillet. Le manchon insérable (30) est en outre doté d'éléments d'emboîtement par encliquetage (48) qui s'emboîtent par encliquetage sur la paroi circulaire de l'oeillet de manière à ce que l'ensemble oeillet soit maintenu assemblé, et fixé à la paroi de séparation. Un anneau de rétention (26) peut être utilisé avant de découper une ouverture dans la paroi afin d'immobiliser le tissu ou tout autre revêtement de la paroi autour de l'ouverture à découper de manière à empêcher le déplacement ou la déchirure et à protéger la surface externe de la paroi. Ledit procédé comprend l'installation pratique de l'ensemble oeillet depuis un des côtés de la paroi de séparation.
