A ground anchor comprises a square shaft which is machined at its lower end to form a cylindrical portion on which is welded a helical flight.The shaft is screwed into the ground and a stabilizer attached over the upper end including a sleeve and a plurality of wings. The shaft has a threaded rod atthe upper end which projects through a hole in a top plate of the stabilizer andengages a support sleeve attached to a structure to be supported. In the event that the shaft strikes rock or the like, the upper end is cut off and a mountingportion having a base plate attached to the stabilizer.

Le mât est vissé dans le sol tandis qu'un stabilisateur fixé sur la partie supérieure comprend un manchon et une pluralité d'ailes. Le mât est équipé d'une tige filetée dans sa partie supérieure et qui dépasse par un trou pratiqué dans une plaque supérieure du stabilisateur et qui s'engage dans un manchon d'appui attaché à la structure à supporter. Si le mât entre en contact avec du roc ou tout autre obstacle, la partie supérieure est coupée et un élément de montage équipé d'une plaque de base est fixé au stabilisateur.
