A ground anchor provided with a tubular body having apertures and flat bars secured to a bar-retaining element and mounted inside the tubular body is described herein. The apertures are configured and sized as to allow the flat bars therethrough when the bar-retaining element is pulled upwardly, to thereby anchor the tubular body to the ground.
