A ground anchor with built in hammer and anvil. The ground anchor comprises a ground piecing member with an anvil end for driving a ground piercing end, which has outwardly extending vanes, into the ground. A tubular housing receives the anvil in an interior cavity. A lock engages the ground piercing member and the housing to selectively limit axial movement of the ground piercing member and the housing.
